LOS ANGELES (October 6, 2026): Latinas In Podcasting (LIP) announced El Maratón de Podcasting, an audio-only summit for established podcasters who want to keep their shows going for the long haul. All 8 sessions will release October 20 as a private podcast.

Many podcasts fade out after a handful of episodes, a phenomenon podcasters commonly call "podfade." But what about the podcasters who make it past 50 or 100 episodes and beyond? Who is supporting them? El Maratón de Podcasting skips the beginner basics and takes on the questions these intrepid podcasters face once they have made it past that point:

  • how to make old episodes say something new

  • why AI search might be recommending someone else's show

  • where the money is when sponsors aren't calling

  • how much content is really enough

"Podcasting is a marathon, not a sprint," said Paulette Erato, founder of Latinas In Podcasting, in a nod to the summit’s Spanglish name. "So many of us hit a wall a few years in. We built El Maratón de Podcasting for the podcasters who are still here and want to keep going, but are afraid of burning out. It’s a real threat to our shows, and I want to ensure my members feel supported through these periods."

This is the third annual LIP summit. "Our first summit in 2024 was about launching a show, and its theme, Connect & Collaborate, later became our community ethos," Erato said. "The second year we focused on growth. This year is about podcasting sustainably, so we rethought the format, too. Our first two summits were virtual, video-centric events. This is our first-ever audio-only event. Audio is already the most sustainable way to produce a podcast, so it made sense for the summit, too!"

The summit is delivered like a podcast playlist, so attendees can listen in their own podcast app on their own schedule. Attendees and LIP members will also be able to participate in live speaker Q&A sessions during the summit week.

Eight podcasters with up to 20 years in the industry lead the sessions:

  1. Elsie Escobar - Podcast without Burning Out: Strategies for Podcast Longevity
